1. Cherry Creek (1-0) beat Smoky Hill, 35-14. After going down 7-0, Bruins scored four straight first-half TDs. Next week: at No. 10 Cherokee Trail, Oct. 16

2. Columbine (1-0) beat Rock Canyon, 39-13. RB Seth Cromwell ran for 116 yards and three TDs on 16 carries. Next week: vs. Arvada West, Oct. 16
