The Rockies began the season on a high note with an 8-5 win over the Dodgers. Some highlights:
• German Marquez somehow got through a messy four innings. Half of the Dodgers’ 14 balls in play against Marquez were “hard-hit”, per Statcast, and he had a career-high-tying six walks. But through 92 pitches and a negated two-run homer, Marquez only allowed one run.
