What to know about Denver’s 2021 third-round draft pick Quinn Meinerz
Round/pick: 3rd/No. 98
Age: 22
Height/weight: 6-3/320
College: Wisconsin-Whitewater (Div. III)
Hometown: Hartford, Wisc.
Notable: Meinerz was a first-team All-American and team captain for Wisconsin-Whitewater, which had its 2020 season canceled due to the pandemic. He started 29 games at left guard over his last two seasons for the Warhawks. A strong performance at the Senior Bowl shot Meinerz up draft boards, completing his ascension from little-known high school recruit (he had no major college offers) into a Day 2 NFL draft prospect. A learning curve awaits him in the NFL, but Meinerz’s build, work ethic and evolving hands will serve him well.
