The Mountain Vista High School graduate played basketball and volleyball as a prep athlete, but didn’t discover the sport of rowing until heading to the University of Washington. “When I first got out there, I had never touched an oar,” she told the Highlands Ranch Herald. But she quickly took to the sport, helping the Huskies claim the 2017 NCAA championship and winning the gold medal in the second varsity eight event in the 2018 NCAA championship.
