After a year delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tokyo Olympics have arrived.
The United States sent a 613-member team to Japan, which includes 34 athletes who call Colorado home. The Centennial State has the third-biggest contingent behind California (126) and Florida (51), according to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee.

The oldest member is cross-country mountain biker Erin Huck, who is making her Olympic debut at the age of 40, while the youngest is 17-year-old sport climber Colin Duffy.
Pentathlete Amro Elgeziry is in his fourth Olympics but first as a member of Team USA. He represented his native Egypt in 2008, 2012 and 2016. Emma Coburn will be making her third Olympic Games, having won the bronze medal in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2016 Rio Games.
Those making their second Olympics include Hilary Bor (track and field), Mason Finley (track and field), Adeline Gray (wrestling), Lindsey Horan (soccer), Ildar Hafizov (wrestling) and Lucas Kozeniesky (shooting). For Hafizov, this is his first Olympics since 2008 when he was a member of the Uzbekistan national team.
Colorado is also the home state of Canadian women’s soccer player Janine Becker, who also played in 2016 when Team Canada took home the bronze medal.
